Senior Network Engineer

About the role

The Senior Network Engineer will design, implement and optimise large‑scale enterprise network infrastructures, focusing on Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and Aruba technologies. You will lead SD‑WAN deployments, ensure network security and performance, and mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and Aruba solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls and access points.
• Lead SD‑WAN architecture design, deployment and ongoing management to improve branch connectivity and traffic optimisation.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems and perform vulnerability assessments.
• Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, security and SD‑WAN issues, performing root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Develop automation scripts using Ansible, Python or PowerShell to streamline configuration, monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network topologies, configurations and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of hands‑on enterprise networking experience.
• Proven expertise with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and Aruba platforms.
• Strong background in SD‑WAN deployments and network optimisation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
