Senior Odoo System Engineer

About the role

The Senior Odoo System Engineer will design, deploy and optimise the server infrastructure that hosts our Odoo ERP environment. You will ensure high availability, security and performance of the platform while supporting business‑critical operations across the UAE region.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Odoo environments on local servers or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Odoo.sh) and handle version migrations.
• Optimise PostgreSQL performance, configure Nginx load balancing and allocate server resources for high‑traffic usage.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, maintain Git/GitHub workflows and automate deployments with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Configure firewalls (UFW/Iptables), manage SSL certificates and enforce data encryption and access controls.
• Design backup and disaster‑recovery strategies, monitor server health with tools such as Nagios, Zabbix or Prometheus, and provide Level 2/3 support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 4‑6 years of system administration or DevOps experience, including at least 3 years dedicated to Odoo server administration.
• Proven experience with high‑concurrency Odoo environments, database clustering and version migrations.
• Leadership abilities such as mentorship, team management and strategic problem‑solving.
• Professional fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
