Senior Officer Bancassurance OPS - Emiratised Role (Part-Time)

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is hiring a part-time Senior Officer for its Trade Finance operations, an Emiratised role based in Abu Dhabi. The officer processes Trade Finance transactions accurately and within agreed turnaround times, in line with the Bank's policies, regulatory requirements, international trade rules and risk-control standards, while keeping internal and external customers satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Process Trade Finance transactions accurately and within the agreed turnaround time, reviewing trade documentation against customer instructions, policies and regulations.
• Respond to customer and stakeholder queries and give technical guidance when needed.
• Update transactions in the relevant systems and help improve standard operating procedures.
• Support daily and monthly proofing, reconciliations, statistical reporting, MIS preparation and business continuity activities.
• Escalate unusual or suspicious transactions and assist the Supervisor and Section Head.
• Maintain secure custody of records and support product testing, training and service requests.
• Contribute to process improvements and support multiple desks and functions within the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline or a related field; CITF certificate preferred.
• Minimum three years of hands-on experience in Trade Finance, across Trade Finance products and core banking systems.
• Strong knowledge of Trade Finance products, documentation, shipping terms, local laws, legal risks and banking procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of UCP 600, URC 522, ISBP, ISP 98, URDG 758, URR 725, Incoterms 2010 and ICC Banking Commission opinions.
• Working knowledge of SWIFT, insurance-related activities and banking processes.
• Good communication, presentation and analytical skills, with attention to detail and customer-service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, macros, pivot tables and Access.
• Experience using core banking systems.

Performance expectations include zero operational losses, at least 95% adherence to turnaround-time standards, strong internal customer satisfaction and timely completion of reconciliations and tracers. FAB states it has structured plans for the recruitment and career progression of Emirati talent.
