Senior Operations, Road Operations

About the role

DSV is hiring a Senior Operations, Road Operations professional to manage and develop operational relationships with strategic customers within its Road Transportation business. The role ensures efficient service delivery, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, cost optimization and continuous improvement, while staying compliant with company policies and transportation regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational contact for key accounts, build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, understand their transportation needs and run regular operational reviews.
• Oversee daily transportation activities, coordinate with transport planners, dispatch teams, driver management and subcontractors, and monitor shipments, vehicle utilization, delivery performance and exceptions.
• Manage transportation schedules, routes and capacity, and resolve escalations, delays and service disruptions.
• Monitor performance against SLAs and operational KPIs, prepare performance reports, run root cause analysis and drive improvements in on-time delivery and transport efficiency.
• Monitor transportation costs and account profitability with commercial and finance teams, identify route optimization and load consolidation opportunities, and support budgeting, forecasting and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, operations, finance and procurement, support customer onboarding and new business, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure operations comply with road transport regulations and safety requirements, monitor subcontractor performance, document SOPs and handle claims and incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in road transportation, logistics operations or key account management.
• Strong understanding of domestic and cross-border road freight operations.
• Experience managing strategic customers and transportation service providers.
