Senior Process Engineer – Greenfield

About the role

The Senior Process Engineer will lead process engineering activities for ADNOC offshore greenfield oil and gas projects, covering FEED through start‑up while ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design of offshore facilities such as wellhead platforms, processing units, gas compression, water injection and produced water treatment.
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, design basis, narratives and perform heat & material balances, hydraulic and pressure relief studies.
• Perform process simulation using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or equivalent and size equipment.
• Support concept selection, FEED, detailed design and technology optimisation studies.
• Prepare specifications for separators, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps, filters and flare systems.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA and constructability reviews to ensure HSE compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and provide engineering support during construction, commissioning and start‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s advantageous).
• Minimum 15 years of process engineering experience in oil & gas, with at least 8 years on offshore greenfield projects.
• Proven experience on ADNOC or similar large offshore EPC projects.

Required skills

• Process simulation: Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Pipesim (preferred).
• Process calculations: heat & material balances, hydraulic analysis, pressure relief and flare network analysis.
• Knowledge of API standards, ASME codes, IEC standards and ADNOC engineering standards.
• Experience with equipment sizing for separators, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps and water‑treatment packages.
