Senior Production Engineer – Pressure Vessels & Process Skids

About the role

The company seeks a Senior Production Engineer to lead fabrication and production activities for heavy steel structures, pressure vessels, process skids, and storage tanks at its workshop in Umm Al Quwain.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor fabrication activities, preparing job plans and production schedules based on manpower, materials, equipment and workshop capacity.
• Interpret and review fabrication and isometric drawings, ensuring compliance with ASME, API, AWS and project specifications.
• Oversee welding operations (TIG, MIG, SMAW, SAW) and correct handling of material grades.
• Lead a team of 50+ workmen, troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor productivity, resource utilization and adherence to project schedules while ensuring HSE and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–6 years of experience in heavy steel fabrication, pressure vessels, process skids or storage tanks.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API and AWS codes, welding processes and material grades.
• Proven ability to manage large workshop teams and coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, procurement and other functions.
