Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the full design and construction lifecycle of projects from concept through handover, based in Madinat Zayed. This full‑time position requires strong technical design expertise, coordination across Abu Dhabi and other sites, and alignment with project budgets, timelines, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete design lifecycle, ensuring compliance with scope, standards, and client requirements.
• Review architectural, structural, MEP and specialist design packages, identify gaps and provide technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, authorities and internal teams to maintain seamless project progression.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and resource allocations for design and construction phases.
• Identify and mitigate design and construction risks early in the process.
• Monitor site progress, enforce adherence to IFC drawings and resolve design‑related issues during construction.
• Ensure quality assurance through compliance with building codes, standards and project specifications.
• Support cost planning, value engineering and budget control throughout the project.
• Prepare progress reports, design review summaries and executive updates.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and final documentation for smooth project close‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 14 years of experience in design and construction project management.
• Proven track record managing full design lifecycle projects (concept to handover).
• Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams and major contractors.
• Strong understanding of UAE building codes, authority requirements and construction standards.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are an advantage.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.
