Senior Project Manager – Space Programs

About the role

EDGE Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering strategic space programs and sovereign capability initiatives. The role combines strong project management expertise with deep knowledge of space systems, satellite programmes and defence acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of space programmes from initiation through operational handover, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, governance structures and reporting frameworks, and manage risks, issues and change control.
• Serve as primary interface with customers, government stakeholders, partners and suppliers, driving alignment of technical, commercial and strategic objectives.
• Coordinate engineering, systems engineering, mission operations, supply chain and quality teams across satellite, payload and ground‑segment workstreams.
• Manage Technology Transfer and Knowledge Transfer activities to build sovereign capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Space Systems, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years experience managing complex aerospace, defence or satellite programmes.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale technical programmes with multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
