Senior Resident Engineer

About the role

NAGA is seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer to lead site supervision across multiple projects in Abu Dhabi. The role provides senior‑level technical and operational leadership, ensuring delivery in line with designs, contracts, schedules, quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Resident Engineers, making high‑level decisions throughout construction.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee design coordination, material procurement, construction activities and site works.
• Monitor progress against schedules, budgets, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, progress reviews and coordination meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Review contractor performance, identify delays, quality issues and contractual risks, and support issue resolution.
• Ensure accurate project documentation, including drawings, schedules, progress and inspection reports.
• Apply knowledge of UAE codes, standards and FIDIC contracts to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years as a Resident Engineer in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE codes, standards and construction requirements.
• Proven leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, quality and safety performance.
