Senior Sales Engineer Aftermarket Modernization

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer – Aftermarket Modernization to join our team in Abu Dhabi. You will develop and grow Carrier’s HVAC modernization and retrofit business by identifying opportunities to replace aging, inefficient or obsolete equipment with high‑efficiency, reliable and sustainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and convert HVAC modernization and retrofit opportunities across assigned markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with building owners, consultants, contractors and facility‑management companies.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing systems, equipment condition and modernization requirements.
• Develop value‑based technical solutions focused on reliability, energy efficiency, lifecycle cost reduction and sustainability.
• Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through proposal preparation, negotiation and order closure.
• Prepare coordinated technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering, service and operations teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging modernization opportunities to keep a healthy sales pipeline.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the HVAC industry, preferably in sales, aftermarket or retrofit projects.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps and controls.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage the complete sales cycle.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Based in Abu Dhabi with a valid UAE driving licence and own car.
