About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) at spiderSilk, you will lead the design and development of mission‑critical components for a cutting‑edge cybersecurity platform. You will mentor junior engineers, drive technical excellence, and help shape the product roadmap in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high‑scale backend services.
• Establish and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps.
• Lead design reviews and provide technical mentorship to the engineering team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading backend projects and mentoring engineers.
• Deep expertise in Python and/or Java, with a strong focus on building scalable solutions.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and high‑availability architectures.
• Familiarity with security principles and secure coding practices.
• Ability to work autonomously in a startup mindset.
