Senior Specialist Accountant – Cost Accounting

About the role

AL TARIQ, a leading UAE‑based manufacturer of precision‑guided systems, is seeking a Senior Specialist Accountant to drive cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting activities across its projects and products. You will partner with project managers and senior leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full project costing, including contract analysis, monthly financial statements, and Estimated at Completion (EAC) calculations.
• Prepare and validate product costing for all items within each project, linking manufacturing performance to financial results.
• Coordinate the annual budget and forecast process, and produce monthly management reports for senior management.
• Oversee monthly closing activities, ensuring correct expense classification, work‑in‑progress (WIP) accounting, and cost variance analysis.
• Create new assets in SAP, verify against approved CAPEX budgets, and support cash‑flow forecasting.
• Prepare letters of credit/guarantee and liaise with banks as needed.
• Assist auditors during interim and year‑end audits and provide ad‑hoc reporting for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting systems and project finance.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to explain financial results clearly.
