Senior Specialist, Cloud Application Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Engineer will design, build, and maintain enterprise applications and integrations within IHS's digital ecosystem. Reporting to the Senior Manager, EA, the role involves full‑stack development on React and .NET Core, cloud‑native data management, and Azure infrastructure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React (frontend) and .NET Core APIs (backend) with high performance and scalability.
• Build and maintain data models, schemas, and stored procedures in SQL Azure and manage collections in Azure Cosmos DB.
• Implement integrations between internal systems and third‑party platforms using REST APIs, Azure Service Bus, and Azure API Management.
• Deploy, configure, and manage application infrastructure on Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Functions, and Container Apps.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and apply Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices using Bicep/ARM templates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven hands‑on experience with React and .NET Core API development.
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working with SQL Azure and Azure Cosmos DB in production environments.
