Senior Specialist – Operations (UAE National, Transport Industry)

About the role

The Senior Specialist – Operations will ensure safe, reliable, world‑class rail station operations across stations, car parks and customer services. The role involves auditing safety and service levels, coordinating events and emergency activations, and analysing performance data to improve passenger experience and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update station, depot and rolling‑stock design inputs, ensuring safety, HSE compliance and alignment with concession obligations.
• Monitor contractor delivery of station, car‑park and customer‑service functions, applying penalties, incentives and improvement directives.
• Conduct audits of stations, signage, facilities and staff competencies, escalating findings and tracking closure.
• Investigate incidents and major occurrences, prepare reports, mandate corrective measures and oversee emergency drills with Dubai Police and stakeholders.
• Lead cross‑department projects, benchmark KPIs, analyse performance data and recommend facility upgrades and operational enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (8+ years) or Master’s (6+ years) degree in Transportation Engineering, Operations Management or Urban Planning.
• Minimum 6‑8 years of experience in the transportation industry, preferably in rail operations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HSQE, RSEMS/ASEMS frameworks and risk‑mitigation planning.
• Experience with audit processes, incident investigation and emergency management.
