Senior Specialist Purchasing

About the role

The Senior Specialist Purchasing will lead the procurement function for a diverse range of goods and materials, supporting all company directorates. This senior position involves managing end‑to‑end sourcing activities, from annual planning to contract execution, while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate commercial offers, and recommend award decisions.
• Develop and execute category‑management and group‑wide tender initiatives to achieve economies of scale.
• Supervise a team, monitor KPIs, and enforce HSE and quality standards.
• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, obtain approvals, and generate purchase orders.
• Collaborate with end users to create the Annual Procurement Plan and select qualified vendors.
• Lead pre‑bid meetings, negotiate terms, and coordinate bid opening committees.
• Obtain legal and financial approvals for any deviations from standard terms.
• Maintain supplier relationships, expedite deliveries, and manage long‑term price agreements.
• Continuously improve purchasing processes in line with UAE laws and company policies.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in procurement or purchasing within a multi‑site organization.
• Strong knowledge of UAE procurement regulations and corporate compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a procurement team.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tender cycles.
