Senior Specialist - Risk Management

About the role

Individual Contributor role – you will lead through analysis and judgment rather than people management. Deriv is looking for someone who can investigate why a risk model missed an issue last quarter and build the system that prevents it happening again.

Key responsibilities

• Own the enterprise risk framework end‑to‑end, covering taxonomy, appetite, assessment methodology and control mapping across all risk types.
• Maintain the regulatory view for every licence, translate regulatory change into actionable risk actions and provide data for inspections and submissions.
• Build predictive risk capabilities, including leading indicators, emerging‑risk identification and horizon scanning.
• Design and run stress tests, scenario analyses, KRIs and drive remediation until exposure is measurably reduced.
• Develop, deploy and govern AI‑driven models, automated monitoring and analytics that become part of daily workflow.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of risk management experience in financial services, trading or a regulated brokerage, covering both financial and non‑financial risk.
• Proven ability to create and maintain a risk framework that is actively used by the business.
• Deep knowledge of CFD products, leverage, margin, negative‑balance protection and related regulatory requirements (IFR/IFD, Basel, MiFID II).
• Track record of building leading indicators or predictive models that have driven business decisions.
