Senior Team Leader, F&B Service

About the role

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in Dubai is looking for a Senior Food & Beverage Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of the hotel's food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service and banquets. The role ensures exceptional service, manages the F&B team, coordinates with the kitchen and other departments, and maintains high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support F&B team members, evaluate subordinates, mentor them and identify training needs.
• Provide training and development opportunities and foster a collaborative, positive work environment.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the outlets and ensure procedures and standards are followed.
• Monitor and manage inventory and supplies, working with the kitchen and procurement.
• Greet guests, resolve complaints promptly and analyse guest feedback to improve service.
• Work with the Executive Chef on current, balanced menus and assist in updating beverage menus, wine lists and cocktail offerings.
• Help create and manage staff schedules and maintain accurate records of departmental activity.
• Prepare F&B performance reports for management and lead regular team meetings.
• Conduct inspections of F&B areas, implement quality control and food safety measures, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Act as a liaison between the team and upper management and coordinate with kitchen, events and housekeeping.

Required profile

• Hotel or restaurant management diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• HACCP certification.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position in a five-star hotel.
• Initiative, attention to detail, teamwork, effective communication, leadership and a guest-oriented, service-minded approach.
