Senior Technician Production Testing

About the role

EDGE Group is looking for a hands‑on Senior Technician – Production Testing to operate in‑line and end‑of‑line test stations. You will work closely with the Senior Production Test Engineer to execute approved test plans, ensure traceable results and maintain reliable testing in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up units under test, operate test rigs, control‑room systems, instrumentation and approved test sequences.
• Perform in‑line and end‑of‑line acceptance tests, verify results against defined limits and record outcomes.
• Conduct first‑line troubleshooting of test stations, escalating anomalies when required.
• Lead a team of two technicians, allocate daily tasks, provide training and ensure workload balance.
• Maintain compliance with procedures, quality, EHS standards and safe working practices.
• Ensure equipment, fixtures, consumables and spares are calibrated and ready for use.
• Perform first‑level maintenance and coordinate repairs and calibrations.
• Record test results, serial numbers, configurations and discrepancies for traceability.
• Report recurring failures to support root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Support the introduction of new test equipment, procedures, fixtures and station layouts.

Required profile

• Diploma or Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience operating production test stations in manufacturing.
• Experience supervising or coordinating a small technical team.
• Preferred background in aerospace, automotive, engine/turbine testing or high‑volume production.
• Ability to follow test procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings and acceptance criteria.
