Senior Transformation Director – Banking

About the role

This senior position leads a portfolio of strategic business transformation initiatives within a large, complex banking environment. The role partners with executive stakeholders to shape, prioritize and execute the transformation roadmap, ensuring enterprise‑wide change delivers measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of strategic transformation programmes, delivering against defined business objectives.
• Partner with senior executives to define, prioritize and execute the transformation roadmap.
• Establish and maintain robust programme governance, reporting, risk management and delivery oversight.
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing priorities, dependencies, resources and timelines.
• Facilitate senior governance forums and steering committees, providing clear insight into progress, risks and decisions.
• Translate business requirements and strategic objectives into practical, executable delivery plans.
• Drive change management and stakeholder engagement to support successful adoption across the organisation.
• Build strong relationships across business and technology teams to ensure collaboration and alignment.
• Promote best‑practice programme and change‑management methodologies throughout the business.

Required profile

• 10+ years delivering large‑scale transformation or strategic change programmes in banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and navigate complex organisational environments.
• Track record of delivering enterprise‑wide change initiatives from strategy through implementation.
• Strong knowledge of programme governance, business analysis, project delivery and change‑management frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
