Senior/Principal Fullstack Software Engineer – AI Legal Platform

About the role

Laine is building an AI‑driven legal drafting platform and seeks a product‑minded Senior or Principal Fullstack Engineer. This full‑time hybrid position is based in Dubai with administrative visa support, offering end‑to‑end ownership of features using a modern TypeScript stack.

Key responsibilities

• Influence technical architecture and product roadmap with pragmatic, user‑first thinking.
• Develop fullstack features from React/Next.js frontend to Node.js backend.
• Integrate large language models and external AI services into secure, usable core components.
• Enhance performance, scalability, observability, and security across the platform.
• Write clean, well‑tested code, contribute to design docs, and lead code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to understand feature “why”.

Required profile

• Strong product mindset, caring equally about user problems and technical implementation.
• Proven track record of shipping production systems.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript across Node.js and React/Next.js.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI/LLMs into production workflows.
• Solid API design and database modeling (SQL/NoSQL) skills.
• Experience with GCP and production monitoring/debugging.
• Excellent communication in English and ability to thrive in a hybrid environment.
