SEO Manager – Agency Side for Banking Client

About the role

WPP Media is seeking an experienced SEO Manager to lead the organic search strategy for a major banking client from an agency perspective. Based in Dubai, you will own the full SEO scope, including technical SEO, content, local optimisation and emerging GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the SEO strategy across technical, content, local and GEO workstreams.
• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for the client on all SEO matters.
• Build quarterly and annual SEO roadmaps aligned with business priorities, product focus and seasonal campaigns.
• Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexation, site performance, mobile usability, structured data and internal linking.
• Provide content and on‑page optimisation recommendations for banking products such as accounts, cards, loans, investments and branch pages.
• Lead the GEO strategy to enhance visibility on AI‑powered search platforms.
• Manage and optimise Google Business Profile listings for branch locations.
• Collaborate with internal content, technology, analytics and strategy teams to ensure implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing SEO for large, regulated brands, preferably in the banking sector.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to communicate strategy and results clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage detailed SEO roadmaps.
• Hands‑on expertise in technical SEO audits and implementation planning.
• Experience with local SEO and emerging generative search technologies.
