Server - All-Day Dining

About the role

Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort, part of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, is looking for a server for its all-day dining outlet in Dibba, Fujairah. The resort sits on the coast of Dibba, the second-largest town in the emirate of Fujairah, within the Al Hajar Mountains. Candidates apply through the company's application process, which includes a questionnaire sent by the partner AssessFirst.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist them throughout their dining experience
• Take and accurately process food and beverage orders, and make recommendations on menu items, ingredients, allergens and promotions
• Serve food and beverages according to service standards and keep tables and service areas clean and properly set
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests and concerns
• Process orders and payments accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system
• Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements, including the Hotel Food Safety Management System, and opening and closing procedures
• Assist with restaurant setup, maintain cleanliness of the outlet and work areas, and communicate with the kitchen, bar, stewarding and other departments
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required profile

• Previous food and beverage or restaurant service experience is an advantage
• Previous POS experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required
