Service Manager - Automotive Air Conditioning & Thermal Management

About the role

A full-time, on-site Service Manager is needed for automotive air-conditioning and transport refrigeration systems, based in the United Arab Emirates. The role covers service operations for urban transport and cold chain customers, ensuring high-quality maintenance, repair and support. It works closely with engineering, sales and operations to improve service processes and product reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage service teams and technicians, and plan and coordinate service schedules
• Monitor performance metrics and ensure adherence to OEM standards and safety regulations
• Handle customer escalations and provide technical guidance
• Prepare service reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on system optimization and energy efficiency

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Refrigeration/HVAC Technology or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage
• Experience leading diverse technical teams in a workshop or field service context, with a focus on coaching, training and safety culture
• Ability to work on-site in Dubai, with flexibility to visit customer and operational sites
• Strong English communication; Arabic or other regional languages are an advantage

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of automotive air-conditioning, transport refrigeration and thermal management systems, preferably in commercial vehicles or manufacturing
• Service operations management: team leadership, scheduling, workflow optimization, quality, safety and OEM standards
• Analytical skills for diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical and refrigeration issues
• Familiarity with maintenance planning tools, service reporting and performance metrics
