Signage & Wayfinding Designer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Signage & Wayfinding Design Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary design team. The role focuses on creating integrated signage and wayfinding systems for large‑scale mixed‑use community developments, ensuring intuitive navigation and strong project identity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review comprehensive signage and wayfinding strategies tailored to each development’s scale and typology.
• Apply user behavior analysis, visitor journey mapping, and experiential wayfinding principles to design intuitive navigation systems.
• Prepare location plans, message schedules, design intent drawings, fabrication details, and full technical packages.
• Coordinate design across architecture, interior, landscape, lighting, branding, and MEP disciplines for consistency.
• Review all signage typologies, including directional, identification, regulatory, parking, emergency, and building directories.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, brand guidelines, and accessibility standards such as ADA, universal and inclusive design.
• Liaise with fabricators, suppliers, consultants, and contractors to confirm material selection, fixing systems, lighting integration, and site feasibility.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, prototypes, mock‑ups, and installation details for quality and compliance.
• Support site inspections, installation coordination, testing, and final handover.
• Explore AI tools to enhance wayfinding strategy development and documentation workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in signage design, wayfinding strategy, environmental graphics and branding coordination.
• Experience delivering projects in large‑scale community, mixed‑use, hospitality, retail, public realm or high‑rise environments.
• Understanding of user behavior, visitor journey mapping, spatial psychology and experiential wayfinding principles.
• Familiarity with GCC project requirements and local authority regulations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ADA, universal design and inclusive design standards.
• Ability to produce detailed technical packages, fabrication drawings and material specifications.
• Experience coordinating with signage fabricators, lighting designers and MEP consultants.
• Proficiency in applying AI tools for design documentation and coordination.
