Simulation Engineer II

About the role

POWERTECH is seeking a Simulation Engineer II to join its Advanced Fluid Systems team. The role focuses on the simulation, design, and development of next‑generation gas turbine propulsion systems, supporting both current and future product portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced CFD simulations for gas turbine combustion systems, including high‑Mach environments.
• Apply fundamental and applied CFD methods to optimise combustor aerodynamic design.
• Develop modules, components, subsystems and full propulsion systems using 1D and reduced‑order tools alongside high‑fidelity CFD.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams on design, analysis and validation activities.
• Support engine and component testing with pre‑test predictions and post‑test analysis.
• Contribute to the advancement of future propulsion technologies while maintaining existing products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• 3–5 years of industry experience in gas turbine or combustion system development.
• Strong understanding of combustor aerodynamics and combustion fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience with CFD tools applied to gas turbine combustion systems.
