Site Activation & Contracts Specialist – Middle East

About the role

The Site Activation & Contracts Specialist will support the end‑to‑end activation of clinical study sites across the Middle East for Thermo Fisher Scientific. This role combines study start‑up activities with contract negotiation, ensuring sites are ready to enroll patients on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full site activation lifecycle from site selection through activation readiness.
• Coordinate collection, review and filing of essential start‑up documentation.
• Prepare, submit and follow up on Ethics Committee/IRB and regulatory submissions in line with country‑specific requirements.
• Track activation milestones, identify potential delays and proactively engage sites and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records in the electronic Trial Master File (eTMF) and support quality‑control activities.
• Draft, execute and process clinical trial agreements, investigator agreements and related contracts.
• Negotiate investigator grant budgets and contractual terms within approved parameters.
• Facilitate stakeholder review and approval of contractual documents.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in clinical site start‑up and activation processes.
• Strong knowledge of regional and national regulatory and Ethics Committee requirements in the Middle East.
• Ability to manage multiple sites, track milestones and resolve activation barriers.
• Excellent communication skills to serve as the primary point of contact for sites and internal teams.
