Site Engineer – Construction Project

About the role

The Site Engineer will oversee daily construction activities on site, ensuring work is carried out safely, on schedule, and in line with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards. Reporting to the Section Engineer, the role coordinates manpower, subcontractors and site documentation to achieve project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and control construction drawings, ensuring only the latest issued‑for‑construction documents are used.
• Maintain site documentation, including daily diaries, reports and records of quantities executed.
• Supervise on‑site construction work to guarantee compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Monitor progress against the construction schedule and report any delays or constraints.
• Coordinate foremen, trade foremen and subcontractors, managing manpower, materials and equipment deployment.
• Plan and conduct inspections and tests according to approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Initiate inspection requests, submit quality records and manage rework or remedial actions.
• Implement site safety procedures, monitor hazards and promote safe work practices.
• Control material usage, record consumption and ensure proper storage and handling.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising on‑site construction activities.
• Ability to interpret and manage construction drawings and documentation.
• Strong coordination skills for managing subcontractors and site personnel.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes and inspection testing.
• Familiarity with site safety regulations and HSE plans.
