Software Development / Testing Intern

About the role

Join our global fintech team in Dubai as a Software Development / Testing Intern for a 6‑month, hands‑on experience. You will work alongside senior engineers, contributing to real projects while learning the full software lifecycle in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support requirement analysis, technical documentation, and development tasks.
• Develop, test, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable application workflows.
• Prepare and execute test cases, log observations, and report defects.
• Collaborate daily with developers, testers, product owners, and domain stakeholders.
• Assist with quality, performance, reliability, and security checks during delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, release support, and continuous learning sessions.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Strong programming fundamentals and a willingness to learn development and testing practices.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and logical reasoning abilities.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle, APIs and databases.
• SQL knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Exposure to manual testing, automation basics or unit testing.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD or DevOps workflows.
• Basic knowledge of Docker, cloud concepts and API testing.
• Frontend basics such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript or React.
• Awareness of Agile methodology and secure coding standards.
