Software Quality Control Engineer

About the role

Our client, an innovative technology company focused on cybersecurity, data protection and AI solutions, is looking for mid‑level and senior Software Quality Control Engineers. The role involves ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of software products through both manual and automated testing, API validation and defect management.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain test plans, cases, scenarios and scripts covering functional, regression, smoke, exploratory and usability testing.
• Develop, execute and maintain automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright or Appium.
• Perform API testing with tools like Postman, RestAssured or Swagger, validating response data, schemas and contracts.
• Carry out performance, load, stress and endurance testing using JMeter, k6 or Locust when required.
• Identify, reproduce, document and track defects, collaborating with development, product and DevOps teams to resolve them.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and explore AI‑assisted testing tools to improve coverage.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of software testing experience for mid‑level; 5+ years for senior positions.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum and software testing methodologies.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing, including API and performance testing.
• Ability to work onsite in Dubai, full‑time, Monday‑Friday 9 am‑5 pm.
