Solar Operations & Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Solar O&M Supervisor leads on‑site teams and subcontractors to deliver planned preventive maintenance, corrective actions, cleaning cycles and emergency call‑outs across multiple solar facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with contractual SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise internal technicians and third‑party contractors during scheduled maintenance and rapid‑response corrective work.
• Manage PPM schedules, module cleaning routines and site inventory of tools, consumables and critical spare parts.
• Conduct daily safety activities, including Toolbox Talks, risk assessments, Permit‑to‑Work compliance and LOTO procedures.
• Guide diagnostic testing, performance verification and thermographic inspections, and sign off completed work.
• Maintain daily field logs, coordinate with facility management and escalate technical issues with detailed reports and photos.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience in solar PV installation, commissioning or O&M.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or lead‑technician role managing field personnel and subcontractors.
• Valid UAE manual light‑vehicle driving licence.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot conditions, at heights and on rooftops.

Required skills

• Commercial and industrial solar PV architecture (string & central inverters, DC combiners, LV distribution boards).
• Interpretation of Single‑Line Diagrams, layout schematics and manufacturer service documentation.
• Proficiency with electrical test instruments and MS Office for reporting.
• Knowledge of IEC 62446, BS 7671 and local UAE utility safety guidelines (DEWA, Shams Dubai, ADDC, SEWA).
