Solutions CIO – Middle East

About the role

The Solutions CIO for the Middle East will provide strategy advice and oversee discretionary investment management for institutional clients, acting as a senior adviser and spokesperson for Franklin Templeton across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the FTIS Client Investment Solutions Team to deliver strategy advice, discretionary implementation, and ongoing monitoring for multi‑manager portfolios.
• Ensure investment performance aligns with client objectives, mandates and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with public and private market specialist teams to construct robust multi‑asset portfolios.
• Serve as a trusted adviser to client CIOs, investment committees, boards and senior executives, leading complex client discussions and strategy workshops.
• Represent Franklin Templeton at client events, conferences, media and thought‑leadership platforms, building a strong regional network.

Required profile

• 15+ years of institutional investment‑management or investment‑consulting experience, including strategy advice delivery.
• Proven record of delivering investment outcomes for institutional clients across public and private markets.
• Strong commercial acumen, relationship‑building skills and experience supporting AUM growth and client retention.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CFA, MBA or other advanced professional designation preferred.

Required skills

• Expertise with regional asset classes and economic issues such as oil, gold, Shariah compliance, MENA equity, Shariah equity and Sukuk.
• Ability to communicate investment views clearly through client meetings, conferences and media.
