Spa Therapist – Luxury Hotel Spa (Dubai)

About the role

The Spa Therapist will deliver high‑quality massage and body treatments to guests at the St. Regis Downtown Dubai spa, ensuring a relaxing and safe experience. This role combines technical expertise with exceptional guest service in a luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services using appropriate props and products.
• Deliver body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before each service.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and arrange workstation setup.
• Maintain cleanliness, sterilization of tools, and overall workstation hygiene.
• Promote and sell spa services and related retail offerings.
• Monitor treatment time, adjust schedules and adhere to daily time‑keeping.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott International SOPs.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; maintain safety certifications.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a spa or massage setting.
• State or regional massage license as required by local regulations.
• Technical, trade or vocational school education related to massage therapy.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 10 lb and perform fine‑motor tasks.
• Maintain current skills and licensure per regional requirements.
• Adhere to company policies, uniform standards and confidentiality.
• Provide excellent guest service with clear, professional communication.
