About the role

The school is seeking an outstanding Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join its world‑class team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will drive the delivery of high‑quality SEN provision within a British‑curriculum environment, ensuring that every learner receives exceptional support and learning opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the SEN programme across the school.
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Ensure compliance with British curriculum standards and local regulations for SEN provision.
• Promote inclusive practices and raise awareness of SEN across the school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject and a certified teaching qualification (BEd/PGCE/PGDE or equivalent).
• Additional qualification focused on Special Educational Needs.
• Experience teaching in a specialised SEN setting, preferably within the British curriculum.
