Specialist Calibration

About the role

The Calibration Laboratory at AL TARIQ is seeking a Specialist Calibration to lead daily calibration activities for Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). You will ensure metrological traceability, maintain equipment uptime, and support customers with high‑quality calibration services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform calibrations of TMDE as part of routine laboratory operations.
• Assist technicians with minor repairs and calibration support for customer test equipment.
• Validate compliance with the International System of Units (SI) and maintain metrological traceability.
• Execute preventive maintenance and intermediate checks on reference standards to optimize uptime.
• Verify calibration report data against ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and accreditation requirements.
• Develop and validate uncertainty measurement computations following ISO‑GUM.
• Follow approved technical manuals, laboratory procedures, and work instructions.
• Manage consumables, tools, and equipment inventory within the laboratory.
• Participate in inter‑ and intra‑laboratory comparisons and quality checks.
• Support corrective and preventive actions for audit non‑conformances.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and technical records, including uncertainty calculations.
• Promote adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 standards and the laboratory’s risk management framework.

Required profile

• High school diploma (required); Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in calibration or related activities.
• Proven ability to conduct uncertainty measurement computations.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
