Specialist Coffee Barista – Full‑time, Ajman

About the role

We are opening a brand‑new shisha café in Ajman and need an experienced Specialist Coffee Barista to run our coffee station from day one. You will be responsible for delivering a consistently excellent coffee experience to our customers while supporting the overall café operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare espresso‑based drinks and other hot beverages to a high standard.
• Operate, dial in, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and related equipment.
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and create latte art where applicable.
• Recommend drinks, upsell, and take accurate orders via the POS system.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all coffee equipment throughout the shift.
• Track inventory of beans, milk, syrups and report shortages.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for the coffee station.
• Coordinate with wait staff, kitchen, and management on order timing.
• Support cashier duties when trained and requested.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience as a specialist coffee barista.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, extraction, and milk texturing.
• Meticulous, consistent, and hygiene‑focused.
• Friendly, polite, presentable and customer‑oriented.
• Reliable, honest, hardworking team player able to work under pressure.
• Fluent English and holder of a valid UAE visa (no sponsorship).
• Physically able to stand for extended periods at the coffee station.
