Specialist, Competency Development

About the role

The Specialist, Competency Development will lead the implementation and maintenance of competency‑based development programmes for ADNOC Group, aligning with business needs and global best practices. The role supports skill enhancement of the workforce and fosters a performance‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities

• Review competency development policies, procedures and practices against global best practices.
• Partner with business leadership to develop competency models and career paths.
• Ensure integration of competency standards with training programme development.
• Identify training gaps relative to position competencies and conduct consultative sessions with functional heads and employees.
• Implement competency‑based individual development programmes for UAE national employees.
• Coordinate with line management to schedule competency programme implementation.
• Contribute to the creation of competency development reference material.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of relevant experience in talent or competency development.
• Experience implementing competency‑based programmes for UAE national employees.
• Proven ability to collaborate with senior business leaders and functional heads.
• Familiarity with competency assurance management systems.
