Specialist Consultant – Family Medicine (UK CCT) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Specialist/Consultant in Family Medicine holding a UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) to join a reputable healthcare organisation in Abu Dhabi. The physician will deliver comprehensive, evidence‑based primary care across all age groups, focusing on preventive health, chronic disease management and continuity of care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive family medicine and primary healthcare services, including assessment, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Deliver preventive healthcare, health screening, lifestyle counselling and chronic disease management for diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD and cardiovascular risk.
• Order, perform and interpret laboratory and diagnostic investigations and carry out appropriate outpatient procedures within clinical privileges.
• Identify urgent or emergency conditions, initiate management, and refer patients to specialists or hospitals when indicated.
• Maintain accurate medical records, participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to continuing professional development.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• UK CCT in General Practice/Family Medicine.
• Valid UAE Specialist/Consultant Family Medicine licence or eligibility to obtain one.
• Post‑CCT clinical experience in family medicine or general practice.
• Current professional registration and Good Standing Certificate.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to interpret laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
• Competence in performing outpatient procedures within approved clinical privileges.
