Specialist Consultant Medical Oncologist (American Board Certified)

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Specialist Consultant Medical Oncologist, certified by the American Board, to deliver comprehensive, evidence‑based cancer care in Sharjah. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and ongoing management of patients with solid tumours and haematological malignancies within a multidisciplinary oncology team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical oncology consultations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Manage systemic anti‑cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and hormonal therapy.
• Interpret laboratory, pathology and imaging results to guide clinical decisions.
• Monitor treatment response, toxicity and disease progression, adjusting plans as needed.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and other team members.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards and clinical case discussions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to evidence‑based oncology guidelines.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• American Board Certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology & Medical Oncology.
• Eligibility for a valid UAE Specialist/Consultant Medical Oncology licence.
• Current professional registration and Good Standing Certificate.
• Current BLS certification and any additional required certifications.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
