Specialist Consultant Oral Medicine

About the role

A leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a qualified Specialist/Consultant in Oral Medicine to join its dental and oral healthcare team, providing high-quality, patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage oral mucosal diseases, ulcers, infections and complex oral medical conditions.
• Evaluate oral manifestations of systemic diseases and coordinate care with relevant medical specialists.
• Assess potentially malignant lesions, refer for further investigation and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Interpret diagnostic investigations such as laboratory results, imaging and biopsy reports.
• Provide consultations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients on oral health.

Required profile

• Recognized medical or dental degree (MBBS, BDS or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Oral Medicine.
• Advanced specialist qualifications (e.g., UK CCT/CCST, American/Canadian/Australian/South African Board) with 3–5 years post‑specialization experience.
• Proven experience diagnosing complex oral mucosal diseases and oral manifestations of systemic conditions.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and management of oral mucosal and systemic oral conditions.
• Interpretation of laboratory, imaging and histopathology results.
