Specialist Consultant – Pathology (South African Board) – Relocate to UAE

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist/Consultant Pathologist with a South African Board qualification to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The role involves delivering diagnostic pathology services and providing accurate, timely reports to support clinical decision‑making and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a wide range of pathological examinations and diagnostic tests on tissue, cytology, blood and other clinical specimens.
• Provide accurate and timely pathology reports to referring physicians and correlate findings with clinical information.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, discussing complex cases with treating physicians.
• Ensure quality control, compliance with laboratory standards and maintain accurate clinical and laboratory records.
• Support clinical governance, patient safety and infection‑control procedures.
• Stay updated with current developments and best practices in pathology.

Required profile

• Recognised medical degree with a specialist qualification in Pathology.
• South African Board qualification in Pathology.
• Relevant specialist/consultant‑level clinical experience.
• UAE medical licence or eligibility to obtain the relevant UAE authority licence.
• Strong diagnostic, analytical and communication abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
