Specialist Consultant – Stroke Medicine (Relocate to UAE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Stroke Medicine Specialist/Consultant with American Board qualification to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The role involves providing specialized care for patients with acute and chronic cerebrovascular conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute stroke and other cerebrovascular conditions.
• Provide timely evaluation and management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, including thrombolysis and thrombectomy assessment.
• Develop individualized treatment and secondary stroke‑prevention plans and coordinate rehabilitation and follow‑up care.
• Interpret neurological examinations and correlate findings with imaging and diagnostic investigations.
• Collaborate with neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists and multidisciplinary stroke teams.
• Provide outpatient follow‑up and long‑term stroke management, counseling patients and families.

Required profile

• American Board Certification in Neurology or equivalent with recognized Stroke Medicine expertise.
• Additional fellowship or advanced training in Stroke Medicine preferred.
• Valid medical registration in the country of practice and eligibility for UAE medical licensing.
• Significant clinical experience in acute stroke and cerebrovascular medicine.

Required skills

• Interpret neurological examinations and imaging studies.
• Assess eligibility for thrombolysis and thrombectomy procedures.
