Specialist Cost Estimation Engineer – Offshore Project

About the role

KBR is seeking a Specialist Cost Estimation Engineer for an offshore PMC project, based in the client office in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves developing detailed cost estimates during planning, tendering, and execution phases, and supporting decision‑making with cost analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates during planning, tendering, and execution phases.
• Analyze project requirements, scope, and risks to determine cost impacts.
• Prepare budget forecasts, cost breakdown structures (CBS), and estimates at completion.
• Support decision‑making through cost comparisons and financial recommendations.
• Monitor cost variances and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimation standards.
• Participate in value engineering and cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• Overall 20+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• 5‑8 years of offshore project experience with FEED/engineering on mega‑value (> $1 billion) projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is mandatory.
• Previous experience with ADNOC projects is an added advantage.
