Specialist, Credit Management

About the role

The Specialist, Credit Management will conduct detailed credit assessments and approvals for business and investment financing secured against residential or commercial real estate. The role ensures borrowers meet the bank’s risk appetite and Target Market Risk Acceptance Criteria, with a focus on analysing audited financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyse and recommend loan proposals in line with credit policies, producing high‑quality credit assessment memos for underwriting.
• Manage an allocated portfolio, performing annual reviews, monitoring delinquencies, covenant compliance and early‑warning signals.
• Engage senior business counterparts to structure facilities that meet client expectations while adhering to underwriting standards.
• Accompany business partners to client meetings to deepen understanding of client needs and proposed facilities.
• Analyse audited financial statements, financial ratios, credit history and collateral details to assess repayment capacity.
• Process loan applications and service requests within agreed SLAs, ensuring complete documentation and accurate MIS reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking or Commerce.
• 5–7 years of experience in corporate/SME credit or banking.
