Specialist Digitalization Engineer (Greenfield)

About the role

The Specialist Digitalization Engineer (Greenfield) will lead digital engineering, information management, smart asset and digital transformation initiatives for a major offshore project, ensuring seamless integration of digital tools and data from FEED through EPC, commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project digitalization strategies, governance frameworks and compliance with ADNOC standards.
• Lead digital engineering and smart‑asset methodologies, maintain Project and Asset Information Models, and manage engineering data lifecycle.
• Support Digital Twin and Smart Asset development, coordinating model integration and operational data.
• Coordinate systems integration across design, document, asset, maintenance, process control and analytics platforms.
• Establish data quality standards, conduct audits, and manage data cleansing, validation and migration.
• Support construction, commissioning and hand‑over activities, ensuring digital deliverables meet operational readiness requirements.
• Develop performance dashboards, monitor KPIs and produce management reports on digital transformation progress.
• Assist with cybersecurity compliance and participate in audits and assurance reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas, energy or major infrastructure projects.
• At least 7 years in digitalization, information management or smart‑asset implementation.
• Proven experience on greenfield offshore EPC/EPCI projects and familiarity with ADNOC or similar major operators.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field; Master’s degree in digital engineering or data management is advantageous.

• Digital Engineering platforms: AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA AIM, AVEVA NETHexagon SmartPlant Foundation, SmartPlant 3D, Bentley OpenPlant, COMOS, Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Data & analytics tools: Microsoft Power BI, Azure Digital Twin, SAP PM/EAM, IBM Maximo, Primavera P6, SharePoint, Document Management Systems.
• Expertise in Digital Twin, Asset Information Management (AIM), Project Information Management (PIM), data quality and governance.
