Specialist Electrical Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Specialist Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering activities on major oil & gas and petrochemical projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing design, safety, and quality throughout FEED and EPC phases.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and engage in safety activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve electrical engineering issues during early work and FEED phases.
• Review, approve, and comment on contractor deliverables, design documents, and vendor submissions.
• Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, 3D model reviews, and HAZOP/HAZID sessions.
• Ensure compliance with owner specifications, codes, standards, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering reviews, audits, and interface activities with EPC/FEED contractors and third parties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• At least 5 years in a similar senior position on mega projects.
• Experience on ADNOC and offshore projects; FEED and EPC phase exposure required.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering expertise.

• Knowledge of design calculations, specifications, and standards.
• Familiarity with HAZOP, SIL, and other safety integrity analyses.
