About the role

The Specialist Emergency Medicine Physician (PL) provides high‑quality, ethical clinical care in the emergency department of NMC Group’s Abu Dhabi facilities. The role focuses on rapid patient assessment, stabilization, and coordination of care while ensuring compliance with governance standards and accurate medical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients entering the emergency department, determining severity and initiating immediate treatment.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and develop individualized care plans.
• Stabilize patients, manage cardiac and cardiopulmonary arrests, and coordinate transfers to appropriate departments or facilities.
• Prescribe medication, therapy, and other interventions in line with clinical guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ER staff, lead the emergency team, and provide clear instructions during critical situations.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Active medical privileges in emergency medicine, renewable every two years.
• Proven experience in emergency department settings, with ability to manage multiple acute cases simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and ongoing clinical education.
