Specialist Family Medicine Physician

About the role

The Specialist Family Medicine Physician will deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centred care and act as a clinical role model within the Division, supporting junior staff and contributing to departmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients according to best‑practice standards under the supervision of a Consultant Physician.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients, and document clinical information accurately.
• Supervise junior medical staff, jointly assuming responsibility for their patient care.
• Participate in multi‑disciplinary meetings, coordinate with other specialties, and ensure appropriate referrals.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, and incident reporting.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Specialist Certificate in Family Medicine (post‑board certification).
• Tier 1: No additional experience required; Tier 2: Minimum 2 years clinical experience post‑qualification in an internationally accredited institute; Tier 3: Minimum 3 years clinical experience as a Specialist.
• UAE nationals may be hired with no additional experience post‑board certification.
• Commitment to continuous learning, clinical research and supervision of junior staff.
