Specialist Oral & Dental Surgeon (Western Qualified)

About the role

A leading private hospital in the UAE is looking for a Western‑qualified Specialist Oral & Dental Surgeon to deliver comprehensive surgical care to patients of all ages. The role involves diagnosing, treating and managing a wide range of oral and maxillofacial conditions while adhering to international clinical standards and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex extractions, including impacted third molars.
• Carry out dentoalveolar, pre‑prosthetic, and implant surgeries, as well as bone grafting procedures.
• Diagnose and surgically manage odontogenic cysts, benign lesions, oral infections and maxillofacial trauma.
• Collaborate with prosthodontists, orthodontists, periodontists, ENT specialists, plastic surgeons and anesthesiologists for multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative care, prescribe medications and ensure accurate electronic record keeping.
• Participate in on‑call emergency services, clinical audits, CPD activities and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Western medical or dental qualification with specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
• Full registration with DHA, DOH or MOHAP and eligibility to practice in the UAE.
• Proven experience in a hospital or tertiary care setting handling a broad spectrum of oral surgical cases.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, infection control and regulatory compliance.
