Specialist Psychiatrist (Mental Health)

About the role

Dr. Rami Hamed Center FZ LLC is seeking a Specialist Psychiatrist to join its Mental Health department in Dubai. The role involves delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered psychiatric care in line with Dubai Health Authority standards, covering patients from infancy to adulthood.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and risk evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and personality disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans following DHA clinical guidelines.
• Prescribe, monitor and adjust psychotropic medications safely.
• Provide psychotherapy interventions, including Cognitive‑Behavioral Therapy and supportive therapy, when appropriate.
• Handle acute psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, general practitioners, nurses and social workers.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement projects and peer reviews.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Psychiatry (MD/DNB, MRCPsych or equivalent) recognized by DHA.
• Valid DHA specialist licence or eligibility letter.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post‑qualification experience in psychiatry.
• Commitment to continuing medical education and DHA revalidation requirements.
