Specialist Psychiatrist – Multispecialty Healthcare

About the role

SearchPlus HR is seeking a qualified Specialist Psychiatrist to join a reputable multispecialty healthcare group in Dubai, UAE. The role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed psychiatric assessments, including medical, psychological, and mental health evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and others.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medication, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Handle acute psychiatric symptoms and mental health crises.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, GPs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide counselling and psycho‑education to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to confidentiality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Postgraduate specialist qualification in Psychiatry, with UK or Australian training.
• Relevant clinical experience in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Strong knowledge of evidence‑based psychiatric treatment and psychopharmacology.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgement, and interpersonal skills.
• Eligibility for licensing with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
